                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO AMEND AN INSTITUTIONAL PLANNED UNIT
                   DEVELOPMENT ON A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED
                   GENERALLY BETWEEN McCALLIE AVENUE AND EAST 3RD
                   STREET, AND BETWEEN HOUSTON STREET AND HAMPTON
                   STREET, WIEHL STREET, AND FORT WOOD PLACE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to amend an Institutional Planned Unit 
Development
         on:
               
                A tract of land located generally between McCallie
                Avenue and East 3rd Street, and between Houston
                Street and Hampton Street, Wiehl Street, and Fort
                Wood Place.  All the properties owned or leased by
                the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga which
                lie within the above referred boundaries and as
                approved on the new Institutional Planned Unit
                Development Plan.  Tax Map No. 135M, 136P, 145D,
                and 146A.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Approval of parking provisions of City Traffic 
Engineer.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
